Title: Unable to load config files
Post by: pacguy on March 09, 2012, 09:40:12 AM
I'm setting up several dap-2555 routers and I have a standard config file that I upload with the basic settings and then tweak for each location. All the previous config files were made using a dap-2553 router. I setup the 2555s by updating the firmware to 1.11 and disabling cloud manager to get the full control panel on the router. Now I go to maintenance > configuration file > select file and then press upload. I then get sent to a screen with the heading of "wrong firmware image" and a message saying "the chosen file is not an image file."

Is there a possible fix or workaround for this since I have to setup two dozen of these routers and having to manually configure each one would take quite a while.

Are you trying to use the config file created on the 2553?
Are all DAP on the same FW version?
I presume they are all the same HW version as well?
What browser are you using?

Are you trying to use the config file created on the 2553?  - Yes I am
Are all DAP on the same FW version? - The 2553 is on 1.2 and the 2555 is on 1.11
I presume they are all the same HW version as well?  - Yes they are
What browser are you using? - Chrome

*edit. Tested again with ie9 and still get the same problem.

I believe your source config files made on the 2553 will not work on the 2555 as they are different models and the configuration code will check to make sure the configuration file matches for the model your trying to load the file too. So you need to generate a master config file one the 2555 then save and deploy on the rest of the 2555s.
