I assume Network file discovery is enabled?
I just had to set my IP address to match the default for the 323 as 192.168.0.xx and had to enable network discovery again.
Might be worth disabling and enabling again?

See if this helps at all. https://serverfault.com/questions/1021222/mapped-network-drive-with-smb1-and-windows-10

Using IP Advanced scanner, I can compare one gainst the other.
The 101 is not showing any http interface, whilst the 102 is?
Also as can be seen the 101 is showing as Expressif Inc as manufacturer, where as before it would show the same as 102.. Dlink

Greetings all.
Not a great start to my Xmas.  :(

I have two DNS323 units, both running ffp.
I had a power loss and the found out that I could not connect to the oldest one.
I have switched it off an on numerous times. I have even tried the reset button.
I have tried connecting a PC to it directly and hardcoding an IP address on 19.168.0.xx on the PC.
The EasySearch utility was worse than useless. It did not even find the second DNS323 ?  :(

The unit is retaining it's 192.168.2.101 ip address.

After a good deal of playing around, I have found that my mapping works again. Phew, that is a relief. :-)

However I am unable to connect to it via the ip address, or via telnet.
In a browser I get '192.168.2.101 refused to connect'.
In the command window and telnet I get 'Connecting To 192.168.2.101...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed'

At the moment I still have my data, and I can always remove the disks if need be, BUT does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get back into it please?

I have no idea why it managed to keep it's IP address when I used the reset hole several times as a last resort.
It also holds all my music for streaming around the house.

I also have another hard drive hanging off the USB port for Downloads. I was able to access that data now and again, when not able to access Volume_1 ?

TBH it has been a few years since I even played around with either unit. I set them up, and left them to it. They have behaved flawlessly over the years. This is my first hiccup with one of them, other than a hard disk failure a good few years back.

Any and all ideas welcome please.

Went to use 323 and the drives are no longer mapped.
Enabled SMB1.0 protocol support.
Using the D-Link supplied 'Easy Search utility'   as per CD-ROM provided with the DNS-323, unbale to map drive
Easy Search utility does find DNS-323 but 'map drive' does not work

Previously advised Easy Search no longer works, so  Mapped drive from Command screen using:
Net use Y: \\MachineName\ShareName

in my case syntax was

C:\>Net use Y: \\DLINK-EAB58D\Volume_1

It was successful and both Y & Z drives show if I use CMD  and net use
But nothing showing up in 'My computer' / Windows Explorer.

Can anyone suggest a way forward?

Went to use my DNS323 and found that the Mapped drives had disappeared  (not uncommon)
Running a PC with W10

Fired up Easy Search Utility and it found DNS323 straight away ...
Populates one volume to letter 'Y' but does not show in 'My Computer'
Also if I try to map it to another letter or map the 2nd drive to a letter I get the error 'Failed to map drive'
Pic attached.  https://flic.kr/p/2pnmRVC

I am aware that I need to have SMP 1.0 enabled - so checked that is the case, it was turned off  (maybe a W10 update did that)

323 is connected via an Ethernet connection to my Home Broadband hub, always worked this way happily.

I am very grateful that I found Manager for the accounting of our Yogalessons. It saves so much time, I really enjoy working with it.

Now I came across something weird however.

It seems that the program is calculating a wrong number when using calculadora igv my 21% vat over a figure of €247.50. The outcome is €299.52 but it should be €299.48. The amount that’s is being calculated consists of 9 lines €27,50 each. What I think the program does is calculate the VAT amount over each line and makes that a 2 decimal answer. In which it rounds up the actual €33,275 to 33,28.

At the end of the invoice that adds up to a 4 cent increase in the invoice outcome.

Can this be solved by giving more decimals in the outcome for each line? For I have a lot of clients who specifically want to see the details for each line instead of an add up with the same figure.

This is an IP Camera, it will not set the time on your router.

I will ask if and when firmware will be available to fix this ridiculous issue. Use NTP server as a workaround.

Also they have a tool to fix if you want to try it.

is this like a ntp server? could I set the time on my dir655?

Probably dead then, too bad it was a good router (I had one too) back in the day.

Emergency Recovery:

http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.0

Try with an older version of the firmware if the newest one is not working.

Here is link to FTP site, just pick your Revision version and many of the older firmwares are there:

http://legacyfiles.us.dlink.com/DIR-655/

I've tried ALL of that (both during my original go-'round 10 years ago, and now again before I found my own posts on the subject).  The issue is that the router appears to ignore any attempt to send the .bin file (though, it occasionally responds with the "wrong hardware" error).  This is true of multiple browsers, multiple PCs, multiple connection sources, and every Rev posted on the FTP site.
