Failed Firmware Upgrade to my DCS-931L, Now Locked Up

(1/2) > >>

A few days ago when I logged into my cams, I had a notification that a Firmware upgrade was needed.  I did the upgrade on the first cam and followed the instructions.  It was wired.  The upgrade failed and now the cam has a steady red light and no access.  I performed a reset and a factory reset and the cam does not acknowledge it at all.  Just a steady red light.  Any suggestions?  I will not be upgrading the 2'nd camera until this is resolved.
Thanks

* What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
* Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
* What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
Before doing a FW upgrade if the camera(s) are connected via wireless, you need to ensure that the camras have a good wireless signal. If your are unsure, then either connect the camera via LAN wire cable before doing the upgrade or bring the camera into close range of the wireless router. External interferences can cause problems when upgrading.

I am using a Netgear 6100 router with the latest firmware.  The DCS-931l was hardwired  (at about 12 feet to the router) as instructed in the notification.  I do not know the current firmware of the camera as it has been upgraded in the past.  There is no accessing the camera for me at this point as it is locked up with only a red light on and no apparent communication.  Holding reset buttons has not effect.
Thanks

Try this:
 Emergency Recovery Mode

What browser were you using when you were doing the update?

zparnell:
I was using Mozilla.
