Title: Anyone know which wires are for IR (internal)?
Post by: taymag on May 22, 2014, 03:39:40 PM
I opened up my camera (I know this voids the warranty) and was wondering if anyone knows what wires are for the IR or what board traces to cut for the IR?

To me it looks like the IR can not be manually disabled that easily. It seems to come in inside the PCB, and the IR emission is controlled in software. Your best bet would be just soldering the emitters off.

(Or just physically block them with blu-tack or tape)
