Title: DGS-3324SR Help anyone?
Post by: rampage101 on October 28, 2009, 05:51:11 PM
Need some help with VLAN's on a DGS-3324SR. I can't find a forum that this fits into, if this is a problem please delete.

The required outcome:
1 ADSL Modem
1 Xerox Photocopier
1 DGS-3324SR
2 logical network that can't access each other, but can share the internet and photocopier.

I can setup 2 seperate VLAN's fine, however I can't work out how to share 2 ports over both vlans. Ideally I'd like to have the ADSL modem give out DHCP to both networks. Will this work?

The feature you are asking for is called asymmetric VLANs.

It is covered in the manual in the section on port based VLANs.  Page 76 of thereabouts.

That said it is a very inelegant solution.
