Hello all,

I am having truoble accessing my new D-Link DIR-600L router. I have searched all over the internet, read the manual D-Link has on their site, and looked at every resource I can find and cannot find the information I need to solve this issue. All the relevant information I can find and think of for you is posted below. I have Factory Reset the router twice. I opened this router today, it was shrink wrapped from the factory. It's been sitting in my company warehouse since purchase, not sure where it was purchased from.

Default IP               192.168.36.1
Hardware Version    B1
F/W Version            2.01VI

I have tried admin/admin, admin/blank, root/blank, anything else I can find too. Nothing is allowing me access to this device. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

• What region are you located?

Is the Pc your connected to with the router getting an IP address from the router? Do a ipconfig /all at a command prompt and see if there is an IP address getting to the PC.

Log in for the routers web page at 192.168.0.1 is admin and the PW is blank. No password is set.

Thanks for the response - I am in the US! My PC is connected to the router via Ethernet cable, and is able to get an IP address from the router. The default gateway for the router is 192.168.36.1, that's after using the reset button. My PC was given an IP address of 192.168.36.103. The router is allowing access to the internet through it, but I cannot log into it to make changes.

So you can't get to the routers web page at 192.168.36.1?

Is this a retail router or one from an ISP?

I can access the router's web page at 192.168.36.1 - but none of the passwords I have found online or in any user manuals are letting me in. This is a retail router. There's no issues seeing the login screen. I just can't find any password for it.

2.01VI maybe a ISP owned router. As VI is not a D-Link related FW conversioning name. Possible this maybe from Verizon.

Ok, may not be Verizon, rather Vivint Telecom.

I found this in some D-Link resources:
v2.01VI: "This is special FW version for Vivint Telecom"

Try this as the admin PW: C0nn3ctM3Up (mixed characters Upper and Lower case)

I know this is a wicked old thread, but I have the exact same issue with my dir-600L, version (Bx 2.01VI) and IP address (192.168.36.1). This is an old router and it was either provided by Dishnetwork or Vivant or Xfinity 5-8 year ago. When we moved, they did not ask for this router and have kept it. I'm trying to use as a repeater. I tried that password "C0nn3ctM3Up" but it didn't work for me. I did it with admin, Admin and left the userID blank with that password and no go. Any other ideas?

I, too, have a problem with an old DIR-600L - cannot login to its webpage with any user/password I can find either on the bottom of the router or online.
I can connect to the login page both by ethernet and by WiFi.

SSID is vi-5f9E
H/W Ver.: A1
F/W Ver.: 1.15VI
Default IP is 192.168.36.1

That's as far as I can get - any username or password combo entered is rejected. Several resets have done nothing to help.

Would really appreciate any fresh ideas!
