DIR-825 PPTP VPN
« on: October 10, 2012, 02:14:26 PM »

Hi
Had a DIR-655. Made an Virtuel server that opened port 1723 TCP to my windows 2008 server at home. From my Iphone and my laptop I could connect via Windows VPN to my home server and browse the internet or connect to my devices at home.
Then I bought a DIR-825. Made the same virtuel Server. I can still connect the VPN, but now I can't connect to any devices at home or browse the internet through the VPN.
I have made no other changes but the replacement of the Router. Why doesn't it work now? Anyone?

Under the Firewall settings on the DIR-825 the PPTP is allowed.

Does the Firewall settings have NAT Endpoint Independent options?

Yes.

It has UDP and TCP Endpoint Filtering.
I guess it must be TCP then and the options are:

Endpoint Independent
Address Restricted
Port And Address Restricted

And the setting now is Port And Address Restricted

Should it be anything else?

Try setting both to EndPoint Independent...
