Was this from a remote location, app or LAN side when you notice this?
Just the DNR?
Cameras still accessible?

The 2 cameras on it are fine.  2 different ISP's tried.  I remote desktop in last night and tried to connect laptop wireless (it's weird to main) to that 2nd router.  Either I changed the passkey or failed to write new one down.

It must be something with my setup as it sounds like no one else has the issue.  I'm sure it's still recording.  I see the router and hard drive flashing away.  Just can't access it. (The one 960l is connected 5ghz to they router,  the other wired 2210l is on a splitter of the main router).

I am having this same issue....  DNR-202L has been running fine with the current setup for several months, 4 Dlink Cameras attached.  about 3 weeks ago it started showing offline ( Red X ) in the app but still online locally via web gui and still recording.  I have reboot it then it will be fine 2-3 days then Offline in the app again ... then Reboot and so on and so on ...

I updated the firmware but hasn't had any affect ...

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. Reference this forum thread...
Let us know how it goes please.

Have the same issue. Works fine for a day or 2 then 202L goes offline. Can still access from browser locally, and still records both my cameras, but appears offline with red X on MDL app aswell as website. Unplugging router restores connection. Have tried with reserve ip address and without. Make no difference. Works great when it works but the 202L dropping offline is killing me. Havent tried with Static ip. Not sure how. Any help would be much appriciated.

So we are up to 4 users with the same similar issue.   :-\
I think we have a case for an issue happening.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Is the DNS getting a Dynamic IP address from the main host router? I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DNS set to 192.168.#.20 or .202.
Swap out LAN cables. Link> Cat6 is recommended.[/li][/list]

Ok, can count me in on this. I tried to log into the DNR today and the MDL Lite and NVR app both showed the DNR disconnected.
I connected to the DNRs web page on the LAN side and it's working there.
I rebooted the DNR and it was showing as connected to the MDL service after it was ready.

I'll try and get some info on this on Monday. Please be patient.

Exact same thing is happening to me.  DNR-202L and one of my DCS-934L cameras go offline when viewing in mydlink.com webpage.  Rebooting the 202L and unplugging then replugging the camera brings everything back.  As with the other users when mydlink.com can't see the two devices my LAN can see and access them normally.  This has been happening now for about 1-2 weeks.

Thought at first that when it started that my equipment was going flaky - now I'm not so sure.  Given that it is happening to others, all within the same time frame, leads me to think that something is not quite right on the mydlink end . . .
