Post by: vtverdohleb on September 23, 2014, 06:26:43 AM
[Add-on] ownCloud v7.0.2.1

[Description]
ownCloud is a software system for what is commonly termed "file hosting". As such, ownCloud is very similar to the widely-used Dropbox, with the primary difference being that ownCloud is free and open-source, and thereby allowing anyone to install and operate it without charge on a private server, with no limits on storage space (except for hard disk capacity) or the number of connected clients.

Hi
with ownCloud or another, you can access, as well as you file, also the add-on (app) on the dns-32x, for example Transmission, Zoneminder, etc., that have a remote desktop DNS-32x remotely, such as TeamViewer .
All this to the problem of networks Nat, as in my case that my internet provider gives me a private ip, then unreachable remote and not public ip.
Thanks

If your ISP gives private ip, you can use SoftEtherVPN (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=60792.0) + VPN Azure Relay Service (https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howto/6.VPN_Server_Behind_NAT_or_Firewall/2.VPN_Azure)

Many thanks vtverdohleb,
I'm sorry, there is a guide on how to set Softether the DNS-325, because I did some tests, but I can not get it to work, I saw that there is also a menu in Japanese, so it becomes even more difficult to make the settings.
Remote I connect to my DNS-325 with a pc windows 7, but from the various tests me by continuous connection errors, I can not figure out where the problem is.
I looked on the website but Softether example refers to two PC (client-server).
Setting an example DNS-325 (Server) and remote pc windows 7 (Client), which functions.
Many thanks

SoftEther VPN Server Manual (http://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manual/3._SoftEther_VPN_Server_Manual)
Configure better using "VPN Server Manager (http://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manual/2._SoftEther_VPN_Essential_Architecture/2.4_VPN_Server_Manager)". Or "VPN Command Line Management Utility (vpncmd) (http://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manual/2._SoftEther_VPN_Essential_Architecture/2.6_VPN_Command_Line_Management_Utility_(vpncmd))", but it requires access via SSH. Web interface to configure is not applicable, it is for information on current connections.

From Windows 7 using "VPN Server Manager" can be connected to SoftetherVPN Server NAS, specifying the IP address is not Local PC (localhost), but the IP address of the DNS-325. And tune SoftetherVPN Server on the DNS-325.

Ok thanks
I looked at the documentation on the commands to be executed, it is not that difficult, I have installed ssh and now i have access the DNS-325 via telnet. Excuse me can you tell what is the command to launch vpncmd inside telnet ssh?
Thanks

Here's another VPN server/client - ZeroTier One (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=61259.0). Unfortunately so far only for DNS-327L.

Hi
Many thanks, we hope that this solution VPN Server / Client traversal Nat / Firewall evolve, because it is very useful.
and 'a little laborious setting controlled with ssh, but doable, we hope that with time solutions are born with graphics settings and not in command lines.
thanks

Sorry
one last question, the vpn server seems to work well, I can remotely access all of my home IP (ipcam, ip router, ..), but I can not access the IP of my DNS-325 main screen for login.
I may have forgotten some settings, domain, etc .......?
Thank you very much

Waiting owncloud on the DNS-320L

Issue with MySQL is not yet completely resolved for the DNS-320L. I will try to think of something to solve this problem in the coming days.

Thanks in advance!

Hi All

I have the DNS-327L with the latest firmware 1.03.

I was trying to install OwnCloud but I think I must be doing something basic wrong or I have missed the point somewhere along the line. I have downloaded the add-on package and installed fine and started it. I can log in via the share centre applications page and i can get to the page from within my home network by typing in the IP address and logging in. However I cannot seem to find it from outside my home network.

The first point where I am struggling is the setup:

I downloaded the archive and web installer packages from OwnCloud but I don't know where to put them on my home server. I think I have to put it at "mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas-Prog" but I don't know how to access that folder. I only see "Volume 1 which i believe is "mnt/HD/HD_a2" but the Nas_Prog folder is hidden.

Point 2 is connecting to it from outside my local network:

I installed the sync client on one of my PC's to test and at the setup stage where you put in the web link if I put in the local IP address of the OwnCloud 192.168.etc etc It finds it. But if i type in my wider area IP address of my home of my DlinkDDNS web address I have it doesn't find it. However I forwarded the relevant ports (I believe)

I admit I am a bit out of my depth with this level of networking, I have searched google and found some help files but none that relate to the install on a dlink NAS, they started talking about MySQL and php... and installing more software VPN's and Fun_Plug?

I would really appreciate your help on this as OwnCloud seems like a great idea and with all the sync clients for pc, mac, iOS and android will break my reliance on dropbox and google drive!

Thanks in Advance, and sorry if my questions are basic.

To access Owncloud from the Internet, you need a router to set up port forwarding: public port 81, private port 81.
To connect from the Internet - http://DlinkDDNS_domain:81/ (http://DlinkDDNS_domain:81/)

You have to completely reinstall the addon (removal/installation) or creating users and databases in MySQL manually

I try to access owncloud through http and I cannot. Only https works, but it always give certificate error.
Is there a way:

a) to fix this certificate error (on https)?
b) to have owncloud working on http?

Thanks!

There are no mistakes! The browser simply tells that the proposed SSL certificate can not be checked on the official Certification Authority (CA). If you open the link https: // ip_nas, you get the same certificate and the same warning.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_authority (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_authority)
You can purchase an SSL certificate, but does it make sense for a home NAS?

HTTP Port: 81, HTTPS Port: 441
"Forced" to use HTTPS in my opinion is included in the configuration of the ownCloud. You can disable.
