setup for an *****?

i must be the worlds dumbest it admin!
i cant seam to connect to these 2 des-3226L's i have!

i tried this hyperterminal but i just get flashing curser when i connect...
tried this ZOC terminal..
i dont understand how to "run these commands" if i cant flippin connect.
(serial cable, com1, 115200baud 8n1, no flow. etc)

stupid manuals say "run this command" well. HOW! with WHAT?
my DHCP server shows NO addresses other then my laptop..
i tried these "default" addresses of 10.90.90.90 and 192.168.0.1
dlinks site has no real software... what program do i use for this CLI crap?

yea, real easy to setup.

i need to setup Vlan's... shouldnt be hard. i need a GUI. i have no web interface.
please help!!!!

I recommend that you phone contact D-Link support for immediate help with this. Ask for level 2 or higher support.
