D-Link Network Assistant not working for Hardware Rev. B ?
« on: March 15, 2017, 02:11:03 PM »

Hi all

Since my three DGS-1100-08 work very stable with the latest firmware now, I decided to replace my last switch with a fourth DGS-1100-08. This time, I received a Hardware Rev. B1, the three old ones are A1.

I noticed that B1 doesn't get picked up by the D-Link Network Assistant. Is that correct?
On the other hand, i learned about the chrome extension. This one only picks up the new switch though.

Not a big problem, just wanted to ask here if someone can confirm that.

(also, the firmware versions are different. I assume Ver 1.00.016 actually is the latest one?)

Possible that the utility only supports Rev A and Rev B only uses the browser...
I see Rev A FW here:
http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DGS-1100-08
Select Rev A

There isn't any for Rev B and I presume that Rev A FW isn't compatible with Rev B.
