DIR-615 Solid Orange light
« on: December 23, 2015, 01:03:50 PM »

I just moved and this was the first time I've used this router, I plugged it in and noticed the firmware was from 2010 so I updated it through the D-link interface which I assume was a mistake, it was doing a countdown in chrome and the page ended up being blank after the update and my router wouldn't start after that, the light just stayed orange.

So I followed instructions on here to get into the emergency mode to update the firmware, I got to the page shown I downloaded the latest firmware from the d-link site for my router, clicked Browse and clicked Send the page either loads forever or just give me a error_connection_reset error in chrome, I can't get the 192.165.0.1 to load on another other browser but chrome

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Don't use Chrome, try IE or FF. Disable all PC security software. Follow the recovery FAQ process there:Emergency Recovery Mode
