s, downloaded from mydlink page.. but pdf of release notes already is 1.04

In reply to my email to DLink I just got the following response.
Thank you for contacting Mydlink Technical Support.
The release notes are for the previous firmware. There are no release notes for this firmware at present.
I have installed version (see image) and have had no issues as yet.

When I program I always have a release bug fix list and update list... I hope this is not a correct answer for someone who has bought a product which cost several euros in my case. if not better updates and no bug fixes, why 1.05 release?
a little disagree with dlink now.. I hope there will be a list of updates and fixes of firmware 1.05

What region are you located?
What you you mean by "a little disagree with dlink now"?
I presume it's not D-Links intent to leave off important informaton in regards to FW updates. D-Link is pretty good on releases and release information.
D-Link is aware of the missing information and should be forth coming soon.
Please be patient.
If your product works, FW updates may not be needed. "if it works, don't fix it!" ::)

couldn't be more agree with FurryNutz. If it is working.. don't update the firmware. Unless it is truly beneficial. As i have lots of experience updating a Cisco Wireless Controller which they release a buggy firmware that cost me tremendous amount of time to re-roll back.

You missed the point. There is a firmware update available on the site but there is no documentation to let anyone know what the update fixes.
And before you go on about "if it ain't broken..." the main reason an update is generated is to fix a flaw or improve.
Are you still running Windows XP because it isn't broken or are you running a newer Windows OS? and if it's newer why did you install when Windows XP isn't broken?

I recommend for those not willing to take the plunge and update FW, please wait for the release notes. If your DNS IS working then I recommend not updating until we can confirm what the update is all about. For those who want to take the plunge then go for it and please let us know your experiences with it. There has been one user that has expressed his experiences already and seems to be fine.
D-Link IS aware of it and should be forth coming with the notes. Please be patient.

Just logged into mydlink and it comes up with a firmware update warning
Firmware upgrade required!
Current version:1.05b01 Latest version:1.05b02
Maintenance release for advanced remote access support.
Having checked the support page it seems to be correct - new version 1.05b02 with release notes
BUT after installing new firmware I get this "Unable to obtain the firmware information for the selected device"
after trying to connect via mydlink

this is the tipical fails I was speaking about in my last email. I hope that many of us have problems with google drive pulgin not working.. so it is very easy to think that we are going to upgrade only in order to test this fails is solved, but if no txt buglist fixed many of us have done upgrade and some of us (not me cheers) have now problems connecting directly with mydlink.com
if the firmware file could have a txt fle with not fied already google drive plugin I hope many of us will not have this bug now and dlink engenieers will be working more relaxed

I have asked D-Link to review this. I to can not access my 933L from MDL web site anymore.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

One thing I just checked on and thought off, since I use static IP addresses for my camera and NAS, I thought instead of having my ISP DNS addresses set for both static places, I changed the primary DNS address to my routers IP address, 192.168.0.1 and now I'm getting connected via the MDL web site. I also did a reboot of the camera as well. uPnP and uPnP Port Fowarding are both enabled.
Might give this a try on your DNS units...

to confirm 1.04b12 asks for update to 1.05b1 but 105b1 doesn't allow access to mydlink
the patched update in my post (above link) allows bypass of the update firmware issue.
I don't know why but according to their facebook (mydlink) page dlink are asking people to pm them for the patch rather than temporarily releasing the fix and explaining why
