Title: Motion detection stuck
Post by: SmartCookie on October 07, 2016, 11:21:52 PM
Hi

I've had a 942L for years using the motion detection via email alerts. For the last couple of weeks the email alerts are all of the same event ie the photo shots are duplicated sometimes triplicated. Simetimes when I view the shot it is of a forward dated motion detection which is really weird. Hope that makes sense.

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)

Have you rebooted the camera?
Maybe power OFF the camera for a full 1 minute then power back on.

Hi

My camera is in a hard to reach spot so will give you the details I know without having to get to my camera:
Region: Australia
Firmware for 942L is  version 1.26
I have switched camera off and one multiple times but problem still exists
I have switched my email alerts from Yahoo to Outlook, but problem still exists.

Thanks

There is v1.27 available.
Might try doing a factory reset and set up from scratch to see if the problem continues or update FW.

Hi

Just to report I think this is an issue with the Yahoo Mail app itself as when I switch to desktop view, I don't have the problem
