I upgraded my router to the most recent firmware and have noticed since my Galaxy 7 constantly disconnects then immediately reconnects. I'm not sure if it's switching between 2.4 and 5ghz, but I loses connection to the internet dusing this. Is this normal? My laptop isn't 5ghe capable and doesn't seem to disconnect like this.

Is this v1.11?
Was a factory reset performed before manually uploading the FW file then factory reset then set up from scratch?
Is SC enabled?
-
It's v.1.10. SC is enabled. I down graded to v1.09 after my post and it hasn't done it since, with SC enabled still.

There is a known issue w v1.10. Can you try v1.11 and see if it does the same thing?

Is the S7 the only device experiencing this?

My ps4 pro also is doing it, which is what pushed me to look into this. I thought maybe it's my pbone. The ps4 pro does do 5ghz, so it's possible this is happening when switching between 2.4 and 5. It doesn't happen with my laptop which the WiFi adapter is only capable of 2.4ghz.

I'll give it a shot. It said I was on the newest version when I was on 1.10. Do I need to install 1.11 manually? Is it located on the 890l firmware page?
-
please follow the FW update process to manually install v1.11...

Let us know how it goes. ;)

I'm having the same issue with V1.11 and SC. I installed via IE, did the reset and everyone in the home use is mad at me. Seriously thinking of going back to v1.09.

Canada
Eastlink, Arris Gateway
Not sure what you mean by what do I see. Top of screen says firmware version 1.11 hardware A1.
We have 6 different iPhones running iOS 10.1.1, and 5 iPads.
Our Harmony hub is acting up as well
All other devices are hard wired.
Everything was stable with 1.09 and the kids could connect while being 4 houses away. Now we loose connection (phones change to data, have to manually go back and activate wifi and it usually drops within minutes) when we're in a different room than the router.
There are two other nearby wifi networks. Same that I've been seeing for months.

What is the model of the Arris Gateway?
What channels are they using?
Try disabling SC then manually set up each radio. Avoid what the neighboring wifi is using. Best channesl on 2.4Ghz is 1, 6 or 11.

Our Arris gateway has the wifi turned off. The model is DCX3635-W.
By going back to firmware V1.09, everything works fine without changing any other settings.

Hope this works out for you. Let us know.
Excellent. I'll give it a shot. Thank you.
