850L USB port 2.0 or 3.0?
« on: October 29, 2015, 05:17:49 PM »

Hi guys,

In the manual it says you can set the usb port to 3.0 , there is no such setting I can find. Is it really only 2.0?

Speed over my gigabit network to the shared USB port is poor :(

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Is the USB connector on the back of the router Blue or Black? USB 3.0 usually has a Blue connector.

I recommend using the USB on the router for small file xfers and such or maybe a printer if it supports it. USB is not really good for large bandwidth files and streaming. I recommend if you need file storage or streaming support, LAN based NAS is highly recommended.
