How to access the camera stream remotely?

(1/1)

allop:
Hi,

I'v been struggeling for some time to get my two DL906L cameras at my beach cabin into a 3rd part video survalliance software.

I can see (and hear) the stream when using MyDlink on my cell, no issues there.

Do I need to do any other port openings in the firewall to be able to use like:

rtsp://mycam.whateverddns.com:8085/play2.sdp
http://mycam.whateverddns.com:8085/video/mjpg.cgi

Thanks,
Matt

Some cameras may not support embedding or alternative video streaming...

Hi,

Thanks. The issue is that the cameras at my cabin, and my logging server is in a different location. I want to be able to look at my cameras using ANY software, from my server at my house. So local IP's are not possible. I must be able to access the cameras via FQDN names, and probably need to do some port openings? I have only NAT:ed the cameras local IP's with port numbers.

I'm based in Sweden.
