Title: DNR-202l - IOGear USB adapters - fail[fixed], Kingston adapter - works
Post by: RYAT3 on October 09, 2016, 11:45:57 PM
I threw in a PNY 128GB SD Card into 2 of these:

1 IOGear flashes blue (older model?, always have to unplug and replug to read new card insertion)
1 IOGear flashes red (newer model!?....always works when changing SD/micro cards)

Both did not work in DNR-202L

I had a micro SD card 32Gb laying around and put it in one of these Kingston adapters, and plugged it into the DNR-202L - and it is working....

I guess final test would be to put the micro SD card in the IOGear adapter and see if it works....

*** only playing with these options since I'm copyig over my WD 3 TB ultra passport files to my new 4TB ultra passport drive....and nothing was plugged in - so I started plugging in things laying around .....

I unmounted the Kingston adapter, and plugged the 32GB card into the IOGear USB converter - and put it in the DNR 202L - and it works.

So maybe it's the PNY 128GB SD card that's the issue....

--------------------------

Too many combinations to test....

OH YEAH

Put the PNY into my laptop - showed up as EXfat.... formatted it to NTFS...  put in with IOGear adapter, and everything is working...

On continuous record for 4 cams I am finding the HDD space used to be about 100GB. Seems SD cards would not be of much use unless you want it to rewrite daily.
