3 things wrong
« on: August 14, 2008, 06:12:57 AM »

Hi all just got my new wireless set up a DGL4500 router DWA 556 card and DWA552 card. After some trail and error setting up I got everything working on wireless. Now my problem is

1  I can only get one card at a time DWA552 to speed 300mbps and the other DWA556 will read 130mbps and viceversa How do i get both to speed 300mbps in n mode

2  When i but the wireless router in to mix mode 802.11n-802.11g the DWA556 goes into g mode instead of n when i restart comp. I do the mix mode because i have a wireless g printer.

3  When I downloaded the new drivers for either card it goes into classic welcome and shutdown windows mode when i try to switch it comes up saying that this file WlanGINA ver 1.0.4.0 made the change and  i need to uninstall the program.

Iam running windows xp sp2 on both cards

Sealtldvl,

For questions 1 and 2, Insure you have selected AES for the Cipher type and lock down your channels on the router. Also, if your printer supports AES, your wireless adapters shouldn't go in to g mode.

As for the WlanGINA error, what utility are you using?

sealtldvl,

Try to uninstall the D-Link utility and use Windows Zero Config and see if you still run across the WlanGINA error.
