Anyone please help, DiR-625, firmware, and Ports, etc..
« on: December 06, 2008, 05:03:12 PM »

I bought this router back in Aug. of this year. I have my pc, xbox360, and 1 wireless laptop hooked up. I know how this all works, I have everything setup right, and I've been using Dlink for a couple years now.

The problems I'm having are:

1. My Rev. is C2, F/W 3.04.. factory. I want to upgrade the firmware to see if I can fix the next problem, but the site only has a firmware for C1. I don't know if it is safe to use that on C2. Anyone?? The S/N of the image on the site is F33O47.... mine is F33P48... similar... but I don't know. I've checked the U.S. and Canadian site, and I'm canadian.

2. I'm trying to setup the ports for my 360, the only place I go to do this on the router is in the port forwarding section, and I select Xbox Live from the list and auto adds the correct ports, I save the settings. reboot. and that's it.

The problem I'm having is, it won't let me erase OR add any other information to the port section for anything. It won't let me change the IPs or the PORTS for stuff have already entered, nor will it let me add/remove/disable anything from the list that is there.

There are 2 entries I put in there when I first got the router, and that is it, won't let me make any changes to those entries what so ever. It's like the router won't save, I'm logged in as admin, directly wired connected to port 1 on the router. It will let me make changes in other areas, like schedule, qos, application, firewall, etc.. ports, nope, nothing.

I've tried reseting by using the button on the router, and the reset button in the setup tools under system.

I have the IPs reserved, for example, my old xbox was set too 192.168.0.199, that is what is in the port setup now for a tcp port, and 2 udp ports that the router sets by default. There are 2 more ports I need to add to that list, and change the inbound IP to my new xbox, (I got 2) ... won't let me do it.

Anyone please help??

This new beta code I see up here, anyone had any use with it?? is it safe? and can I use it with the C2 I got?

Thanks again,
MrManiac

He knows already how to forward the ports, but the issue is its not letting him change the settings.

@MrManiacNF

Try use different browser, but if still the same update the firmware.
