Latency Issue

I've come up against an something odd with several of our COWS (computer on wheels) that have DWA-160 adapters.

We had a report of software issues on two of the computers where the software appears to be timing out when talking to one of our servers. I've been doing some debugs on our wireless controllers and not seeing any issues so I started pinging the various COWS and saw something odd. Every 62 seconds the response times go from 1ms to >2000ms for 2 or 3 seconds and its the same for all the COWS with DWA-160s but I'm not seeing this on any COWS with different adapters.

All the PCs are XP.

Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Anyone seen this before?
