Change in Warranty Period?

(1/1)

walkjp1:
When I bought these cameras, they were listed as a 5 year warranty since they are business class? Now I need to return one, and the warranty has been reduced to 1 year. How can this be? Our am I confused as to the warranty period?

RYAT3:
I don't speak for D-Link, and I don't work for them.

Are you located in the USA?  Where did you purchase it?

I have a business class boxed DCS-5009l dated 2013... says 1 year limited warranty in USA only.
I have a business class boxed DCS-2230L dated 2011... nothing stated on the box.

I found the 2011 setup cd for the 2230 dated 2011, which has the full manual, and the warranty spelled out.

The 6010L manual outside the US has "contact your local regional office"

The 1.01 USA user manual makes no mention of warranty, and the 1.1 USA user manual looks like the EN_UK ...

walkjp1:
Purchased from Amazon, US.  Box does say 1 year warranty.

FurryNutz:
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

RYAT3:
It could've been a typo or misunderstanding on Amazon.
