Title: I Need Help In The Worst Way(PS3 and Xbox 360)
Post by: King49er on December 02, 2008, 08:54:51 PM
When I set my router up the other day,I was online on both of my systems, the Xbox 360,and Playstation 3 right away.

I don't touch either system until today, and now either system will detect an IP Addy for me when trying to make a connection, everything was so fine the other day,now I have this problem.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm new to all of this wireless business and it's disturbing.

Also,I've tried connecting the modem directly to both systems, and now either one will connect using that method either.... :'(

Suggest you read:

WBR-2310 keeps on disconnecting way too soon

The pages of these threads will tell you about the same issue others are having, the WBR-2310 has trouble finding an IP address from the master PC after various intervals.

You will see there a solution which I am now using and which will give you over 20 days of up time.  Cold reboot (power off power on) of the router will renew this.  You will need to be comfortable with changing the firmware on your router.  Recommended firmware 1.04 seems to be the most stable, although there are newer beta versions around, as well as a firmware belonging to abother DLink router which MAY be better.  I have not proceed to those solutions yet.

Good luck.
