lighting storm. .. is my cam ruined?
« on: June 30, 2015, 10:21:30 PM »

A storm just blew threw, I've got serve streaks of light on cam.  Is it water?  Wasn't lightning. . Not sure of cam moved. It's outside.  Looking blurry.  In day mode. .. Not about to go or there and investigate.

Hmm looks like the upper of the 2 streaks has changed. .. It's more blurry. .. so this might be a water issue.

Anyways-is the plug outdoor safe for this cam?  Doesn't really look it.  But i put it in an outdoor recepticle...

Should dry out tomorrow morning. .looking like water on lens ugh

The streaks are diminishing fast now. The lens must have been wet.

But my q?still remains about the plug. Looks indoor to me.

It's not an outdoor plug.  It needs to be inside a weatherproof (covered) outdoor receptacle or run to an indoor outlet.

Thanks for the confirmation on the plug.

If it dies it dies. Well the area is mostly rain proof under some sheltered area so no real direct potential for rain
