I updated from 1.09 to 1.10, My player version is 1.05 and is always asking to update, it goes to download an update and it fails, it says check server connection, My firewall lets D-Links media through, I test the internet connection from the dsm520 and that works fine, I even did a factory reset on the unit and that did not fix anything,  I am unsure what to try next, Help !!! :o

im having the same problem. just go into setup, then go to version and turn update off so that u don't get that annoying firmware update message that just wont work. i don't think 1.06 is released as of yet-i checked the website and was able to find only 1.05 http://support.dlink.com/SupportFAQ/default.asp?model=DSM%2D520 click on the general info + to see the firmware list.

1.06 firmware is now available. it is strange you are unable to update as you state. If you are connected wirelessly try a wired connection and try to update again. if that does not work try connecting directly to you modem and update again.

If you go to http://www.themediamall.com/blog/ and read the article " Release and DSM520 Upgrade" you will find info and 2 needed files to upgrade the firmware. There is also a new version of ActiveTV

I think the same 2 file and info are on the DLink support site at http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=3000
