DNS323 and DNS320 - Mapped Network Drive Directly
« on: August 01, 2012, 07:38:33 AM »

Hello,

I have DLINK NAS DNS323 and another NAS DLINK DNS320.
I plan to transfer file Linux to Linux directly between DNS323 and DNS320 - both are in the same network.
How can I do that? Both of my DNS NAS has telnet activated.

FYI: I'm not really a Linux guy but I understand how to open telnet console.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Best Regards, Arc.

If you want to backup your DNS-323 to the DNS-320 then the procedure is very simple.

Open the web interface for the 320 and select applications -> local backups and fill in the necessary information giving the IP of the 323 as the source.  Use the test button to check it works.

When you are happy with your settings save them and let the two boxes get on with the backup.
