Title: Problem with Samba shares
Post by: nesrene on June 04, 2015, 03:21:55 AM
Hello,
we have purchased an AC1900 and we are having problems with Samba shares on a Linux server. We simply cannot connect to it.

When connected to the wireless router we can ping the server, but not connect to Samba/CIFS.

Any ideas anyone?

Update: I can eg connect via SSH to the same Linux server as the Samba server runs on.

Is this in regards to the DWA-192 or a different model D-Link product. If different, please specify Mfr and model of product you have.

Region is Europe/Oslo.

D-LINK Wireless AC1900 Router, Gigabit Cloud Router, DIR-880L

I'm sorry I do not have the router in front of me right now, it's back at the office.

Regards,
Atle

How are you trying to connect to your Samaba shares?
Not sure if Linux maybe supported with this router aside from basic networking.

I'll move this to the correct forum.
