Is there a power line device in between the DIR and NG router?

Remove the powerline device and see if the DIR and clients connect then? If the DIR is set up well and clients connect to it, it's only being used as a pass-thru for traffic. Anything between the DIR and the NG router could cause connection loss.

when you say "remove the powerline" you mean to connect with a cable DIR and NG?

Does the PC detect the USB drive if you connect it directly to the DIR while the DIR is connected to the NG router?

You have to assign a IP address to the LAN side when in AP mode as the DHCP server is shut off on the 655 and so any device connected to the 655, wired or wireless will get a IP address passed thru the 655 from the NG router. So yes, you have to static assign .201 as the APs address as it's can't get a IP from the NG router in this manor.

Hi Furry and thanks

answer to your question: no the pc doesn't dectect USB drive connected to DIR (as AP) wired to NG

but last night the laptop wired to DIR has detected the USB drive connected to DIR

the second part of your message is not so clear for me (it's my fault, my english is far to be perfect)

forgive me, can you explain me again?
