Hello,
I'm using the DCS-933L inside of my house, behind the window (double glass). The camera looks outwards, through the window. During the day, this works fine.
In the night, if there is a motion in the garden, an automatic lamp outside switches on. There is a little bit light in the garden.
If the DCS-933L is in day mode (colour), there is not enough light in the garden.
If the DCS-933L is in night mode (black / white), there is enough light in the garden. But the IR LED's are reflected in the windows glass.
Is there a way to witch off the 4 IR LED's in the night mode?
Best regards

Ya, putting a camera behind glass doesn't really work as the light emitted from the IR's bounces of the glass. I've tried this before. The IRs are needed for night time mode so there's no way to just shut them off. Night mode would not work if that happened.

I don't have this camera but there might be an option in the cameras firmware Web pages.
Else get some tape over the light.
If you step it up to a 2230 model, it dies have the option to turn off all the light and ir light. Then you can also set the image from auto to "low noise" with the varying levels of 0 to 24. You'd probably see great then with that light on.on in your garden.

Log into the camera's web interface either by IP address or log into mydlink and go to settings and then advanced settings. Then go to settings and then day/night mode. Select always day only and click save settings.

The DCS-933L does not have FW controls for disabling the IR illuminators. Your best bet is electrical tape or some other opaque material.

No need for the tape. Just set the camera for day mode only.

This solution does not work for DCS-933L owners who want to use Night Mode with an external IR illuminator.
