Post by: BeastMode on October 14, 2013, 11:11:33 AM
I am able to connect with the ethernet port. But my PS3 is unable to connect wirelessly.

I have been able to connect multiple computer, laptop, tablets, and smart phones.

Firmware version 1.06

My setting for the wireless connection is the following:

802.11 Mode - Mix mode G and N
Enable Auto Channel Scan - CHECKED
Transmission Rate - Auto
Channel Width Auto
Security Mode - WPA-Personal
WPA Mode - WPA2 Only
Cipher Type - AES
Group Key Update Interval - 3600

5Ghz Band - Disabled

What happens if you temporarily disable WiFi security? Will it connect then?

Is HT20/40 Co-exhistence enabled? Try to disable that and retest.
Disable Short GI and test?
Set a manual channel to 1, 6 or 11 and test?

Disabled WiFi security and it was not able to connect.

HT20/40 Co-exhistence was always disabled. Unable to connect

Looked through all the menus and was not able to find Short GI.

I will test the channels tomorrow.

Do other devices connect? If not, then there is a problem on the router, if other devices do, then problem could be with PS console...

Could try to update FW...If you do please follow this:

All other device connects. smart phones, laptop, tablet, desktops.

Tried channel 1, 6 and 11. Does not connect.

I have a DGL-4300 and it is able to connect.
But the setting are different.
WPA Mode - WPA and WPA2
Cipher Type - TKIP and AES

Tried these settings on the DIR 850L and still does not connect.

I will try to update the FW in the next few days.

It's either a problem with the FW or with the PS.

Keep us posted on the update...

Hi, I have seen similar problem with PS3, laptops and mobile phones.
It always happens on wireless, and when many clients connected to the router.
If I reset the router (the hole in the bottom), there is no problem connecting to the router for any of these devices. But if I connect at lot of other devices first, there is problems connection to wireless for new devices.
On the laptop I can see it connects to the router, but doesnt get the right IP, but assigns a dummy IP, telling that it didnt get IP from DHCP server.

As I see it, the router has problem with DHCP server on wireless side, when many devices has allready been asigned an IP.

In my case, I have around 15 devices connected, mix of wired and 2.4Gwireless and 5G wireless. All are 802.11n. Firmware is 1.07. And DHCP range covers 80 ip's, .20 to .100. Have also tried default settings, and range from .10 to .200. Same thing.

If i default the router, and first connect all my wireless devices, and then the wired ones, I can have all devices running on the router. But if I then have a guest that would like to use the wireless network, this happens again. He can see the router, and try to connect, but will not get an ip from the routers dhcp server.
