Lockup with my DIR-615
« on: April 12, 2008, 01:55:35 PM »

Hello

I have a DIR-615 revision A router.

Its not issuing IP's via DHCP. Its page is not accessible. Its wireless functionality stopped working and its behaving like a network switch.

The problem occured when I was trying to configure it with my new DSL modem by Aztech.

The admin page wasnt accessible so i tried emergency boot[Power on while holding reset]. It opened the firmware update page. I tried uploading new firmware but it seemed to take forever. How much time does it usually take.

I tried Opera, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Any Suggestions.

Thanks

Need more details. Both of you are talking like you router is in a bridge mode (?). Perform a factory reset.

If that doesn't work make sure you are in the same network as the default of the router (192.168.0.0/24) and have a copy of firmware on your PC to to push if you get a crash recovery mode.

Otherwise, you blew up the routers software with the power cycling and reset button holding.
