Try this :

http://dlinkrouter/

If you can get in that way double check that the address is the 192.168.0.1.
When you use the reset button make sure you hold it for about 10 seconds.

I am going to assume you are running Windows 7.. Open up computer and click the Network Icon on the left hand side.  It should show the router on the right hand side under Network Infrastructure.  Right Click it and select properties,   On the tab that says Network device it should give you the address of the router here and that is a hot link too.

Just to double check you are resetting using the button on the back and not the one on the side.

It will not go back to factory settings.  Ive held in the button numerous times.  It will not go back to factory settings.  i will take a video if you'd like.

Hi Rob,

The Factory Reset Button is located in the Back of the Unit between the Power Connector and the WAN Connector.
You can reach it using a straighten Paper Clip, as explained before.

By the way, I never knew that my DIR-655 A3 Version had the special Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on the device. This button is Silver in Color. This Button is not the Factory Reset Button.

Once you do the Factory Reset and can't get into the Settings from this computer and can from the other computers, let me know, as I have come across this problem before. I know what can be done to fix it.

Hi Rob,

Can you access the Router Settings Page from the other computers?

You did not upgrade to Vista, Vista came installed on the XPS360 from Dell?

Hi Rob,

Call up D-Link Support and Request an RMA for the Router.

You will need to Troubleshoot it with them.

http://rma.dlink.com/

You need a Case Number.

A Friendly Reminder

Please have your proof of purchase on hand when calling and/or submitting your RMA request. Proof of purchase is required on all Returns. Your Return may be subjected to refusal if this requirement is not received. For a smoother replacement process, you can now upload your proof of purchase on Step #3.

A Technical support technician will determine, after troubleshooting, if your problem qualifies for our warranty return service. If yes, you will then be informed that your case will require RMA assistance and you will be assigned a Case ID. You will then have access to enter the RMA website to generate a return authorization number.

D-Link does not offer refunds under any circumstances. Please contact the point-of-purchase for their return/refund policies.

the post i made about Win7  should be the same for vista.
Or you can go start button > Network gets you to the same place.

What does it show for the IP of your router and what is the IP of your computer?

Those are the settings from your ISP, what's your internal network?
The Internal Network should be 192.168.X.X

If you are getting an 72 address on your computer then double check your cables.  Looks like the computer is plugged straight into the cable modem as that is an address you would get from Road Runner.

Make sure you have the following setup: Cable modem ethernet cable running to the WAN port of the router, Computer Ethernet plugged into one of the LAN ports.  If the cables are correct then do the following: power down the computer, router and pull power from the cable modem.  Power up the cable modem and what for all the lights to come back on. Then power up router what for its lights, lastly power on the computer.
