Hi
I have searched though Google and on here but can not find any info in regards to using non D-Link cameras with the My Surveillance app.
Basically I bought a DNS -320L NAS Saturday just gone and already have an IP camera (Escam QD520 Pea shooter) placed in a Birdbox in my garden.
Can non D-Link cameras be used on these NAS drives? if there is a way round, what protocols does My Surveillance use to record footage onto the NAS. as the camera I have has the below specs and uses the RTSP
Video
Compression H.264
Resolution 720P(1280×720)/ D1(704×576/704×480) /CIF(352×288/352×240)
Frame Rate Main Stream 720P(1 ~ 25fps)
Sub Stream D1/CIF(1 ~ 25fps)
Bit Rate H.264: 16K ~4096Kbps
Audio
Compression N/A
Interface N/A
Network
Ethernet RJ-45 (10/100Base-T)
Wi-Fi N/A
Protocol IPv4/IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, UDP, UPnP, ICMP, IGMP, SNMP, RTSP, RTP, SMTP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, PPPOE, DDNS, FTP
ONVIF ONVIF Profile S
Max. User Access 10 users
Smart Phone iPhone, iPad, Android,
P2P iPhone, Android Mobile App
It would be nice to be able to get it to work with the IP cam I currently have, as I cannot afford to buy a new camera just to get it to work.

im also having this problem waiting someone help me

I believe the Surveillance app is only supporting of D-Link cameras. You could try and manually input the IP address and maybe see if one of the preset models may allow the video to flow thru.

Hello Ladies and Gents!
Topic of my very-first post encouraged me to join this forum, as I'm using DNS-320L since some time, decided to combine it with cheap solution provided by chinese producer of bulb surveillance cameras.
I'm able to access view from these by e.g. Blue Iris, hence I thought this should be easy to save and store all the images/videos on the NAS across my LAN, but seems as only DLink cameras are only supported by the inbuild surveillance app.
Can someone please confirm/negate my assumptions?
If there's no option to fix non-Dlink cams with DNS-320L - is there any tested alternative software giving chance to record the surveillance cam data on the HDDs in this DLink encolusre whether not?
Will be very thankfull as that's one of last points of my checklist to create so called (cheap) intelligent house system.
Thank you in advance and regards!
