PIR motion sensor

I just bought this camera.  When I activate the PIR sensor the camera becomes over-sensitive to motion regardless of the sensitivity percentage value I specify in the setup.  It overflows my inbox with false alarms.  It looks like the PIR sensor is too sensitive or not working properly.  Do you know how to fix this issue?? It is really frustrating as I was expecting accurate motion detection with the DCS-942L...
