Log into the Mydlink.com web site services using a web browser and remove the device from there...
Is there a "Delete Device..." link located on the page? I have one for my DIR-880L thats not currently online.

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

You can only delete the device if the device is active or working this  device is dead

The device does not have to be active to delete the entry from mydlink. Log into your mydlink account and select the device you want to delete. mydlink will attempt to connect to the device, but will fail if the device is not live. When the connection attempt fails, you should see a "Delete Device" link on the bottom right corner of the pane.

Glad to help. Ideally, the removal option should be easier to find, but that's where it's always been...  ;)
