Hello,
My NAS is still new but I think about its FAN ... surery one day need to change it. Somebody experience that? ... How to ? ....
-
Not sure what you're getting into, I assumed you're referring to the noise generated by the cooling fan.
-
no no... I mean I see some dust in the fan, of course I try my best to clean it up but u know one day dust will make it (the fan) stop and it will need to change it ....
-
Which moving fan doesn't collect dust especially so for a device like NAS which is likely to be on 24/7. Anyway replacing the fan is very simple IMO.
-
Can u explain?...
'Imo' =?..
-
IMO = In My Opinion

Khampol, so far our DNS-320s have not had any problem with the fans and we got the units when they were first available. Once a year we use a small brush to dislodge the dust and a vacuum cleaner to remove it and these units are on 24/7 in an industrial situation.
Unless you are very unlucky by the time you will need to replace the fan you will most probably need to replace the entire unit.

Should be fairly similar to dissecting a DNS-323:

'Reuse/Repair' before 'Replace' ... ;)
