Router doesn't work after wireless printer setup

I was setting up the wireless printer Brother HL-2170W to work on my network an had some trouble. I tried different things but it still didn't work, but all of a sudden my router stopped functioning as well.
I tried to install my DIR-601 just like I did the first time, and pressed the reset button on the back. However, it is completely unresponsive now.
Was this due to me trying to make the wireless printer work, or some setting in the Windows Vista that needs to be adjusted? I am thinking of returning the router because I couldn't solve this issue for a week now.
