no..don't need to. What is the network mode on the rcvr? Automatic or have you manally input the IP address into the rcvr?

It is automatic, I am in the manual settings right now.. should I just pick a address withing the DHCP range?

This Rcvr wired or wireless?

You can input a manual one, is the rcvr getting any internet as it sits now?

no it is not. It would connect. But it does connect to other receivers in the house.

Now are the other rcvrs connected? Router or hub? WiFi?
Try connecting all the hub.

Thanks for you help dude, I will just call directv tomorrow on this. I need to know what ip address and default gateway and dns to put into the receiver.

Ok, the IP should be any IP thats not being used and the DNS should be either the routers IP address or what is listed under Status/Device Status/Wan section.

So Furry, The problem was not with the router it was with the internet box that directv installed. They had to replace it. ;D And like you said I am very happy with this router and the NO LAG..... :D
