Two more failures.
1 - Failure of the Spanish translation. Incomplete in some cases.
2 - When using the file manager's own NAS, on properties of the folders are unclear privileges corresponding to each. As an improvement in the application of the NAS file manager would be nice.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the GUI - it is just a bit different. Improve might mean to make the GUI the same as one's favorite. Perhaps like MAC, Linux, PC or another; but only one.

The Help panel can be turned of *for a session* by pressing the circled question mark above it.

Just my opinion...

My Intended GUI is somewhat weighed and not necessary.
- Menus above are rather simple and complicated to find things
- When listing files or downloads that chart is ugly.
- When you add something or delete something oscurese screen also unnecessary.
- The green ring that is also when carrying something heavy.

I like a clean interface and fast.
My router cisco linksys WAG320N has a user friendly and VERY VERY VERY VERY complete for a router.

Looks like both of you follow two competing schools of thought. GUI designers face this dilemma every day when trying to accommodate everyone's expectations, and make compromises along the way.  I'll try to capture both of your ideologies.

The settings should contain a control for setting the default help setting as either enabled/disabled. If disabled, the user must proactively open to see. This approach is more practical, since experienced users will not rely on the help functionality as heavily as novice users, reducing the need for help over time.

It is clear that a good graphical interface because it is always well received. Like it or not is what really is and why it is interested not only pretty but effective.
My point of view, 325 is not effective, is very slow to load.
Therefore, I prefer something simpler in this respect and to setup As soon as it more powerful.
If you manage to setup a clear and friendly interface would be ideal.

I agree. the interface could do without the clutter and large icons. Unnecessary overhead. Simpler is better (IMHO)

I don't quite understand what you are saying here.

Are you sure this is fixed?
>> General - Concurrent spin-up of both HDDs for RAID 1 (to reduce access delay) [FIXED!]
There were two problems:
1. Sequential spin up after power down (325 and 320)
2. Sequential spin up following a spin down that should not have happened.

Unfortunately I am not in a position to try beta firmware on devices that are on line so I can't check. It might be that just the spin down that should not have happened (No 2) is fixed and that No 1 remains. Has the problem been addressed on the 320? I would not be surprised if it happens on the 323 and other devices as well.

By the way, thanks for MC'ing the problem reports/wish list.

I'm basing the "fixed" designation based on the results of another user who tested the firmware and reported on this thread: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40133.0

By the way, thanks for MC'ing the problem reports/wish list.

Thanks, I'm happy to help. :)

His problem was that the drives span down when they were not supposed to. I would be interested to know if just that issue was fixed or the sequential spin up as well.

I got another 325 this afternoon and while setting it up I remembered another annoying problem. I can't localise the date format. The same is true of the 320.

Even YYYY-MM-DD would do.

Point taken. Removing that items as "fixed" until you or another user can validate.
