Title: DAP-1650 since you do not have a topic for this
Post by: 98slowbra on August 27, 2015, 09:31:03 PM
This is a pure junk Range extender/media bridge, for 1 the gigabit lan ports are not gigabit lan ports they are 100mbps, not 1000 and that is right next to my asus rt-68u router, and for the media bridge that is pure junk it connects at 11mbps down and my xbox one connects on 5ghz at 70mbps, that is 7 times faster in same spot that xbox one connects at than your AC media bridge.  You should not even deem this AC since it will never in its life connect at AC speeds. heck it will not even connect at 54mbps, it is lower then G speeds when all my wireless N stuff connects out there at 300mbps. You need to do a recall on all your DAP 1650 since it is truly not a AC product.  I can see why it does not have its own forum.  You should not even be allowed to sell this junk since it is no way AC, N, or gigabit LAN,  at the most it is wireless A, or maybe B, but for sure not G, N and not even close to AC, you use 30 year old technology and put AC on the box how nice to lie to the customer on this product.  Way to rip people off with this kind of just you are selling.

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)

The specs suggest that the LAN ports are Gb:
"Device Interfaces

• 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless LAN
• Four 10/100/1000 Gigabit LAN ports
• WPS
• USB 2.0 port
• Reset Button

Antenna Type

• 2x2 (2.4 GHz) and 2x2 (5 GHz) internal antennas

Standards

• IEEE 802.11ac (draft)
• IEEE 802.11n
• IEEE 802.11g
• IEEE 802.11b
• IEEE 802.11a
• IEEE 802.3
• IEEE 802.3u"

The other forum moderator has this unit and is working well for him, however his main host router is different. Try swapping LAN cables between the DAP and and device? If you connect a windows PC to the DAP on LAN wired, what does windows report the connect rate as? Ensure your PC or game console support 1000Mb connection rates. I know the 360 only supports 100 and I think the XB1 support 1000Mb now.
What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
Possible that your unit is faulty is all...Test with a different main host router and see if the problem continues.
