File protection on a DNS 323 connected to a media player
« on: May 14, 2010, 06:04:44 AM »

Hi Everyone:

I have a DNS-323 in RAID1 streaming to a media extender. Everyone on my win 7 homegroup has access to the box. The box contains movies and document folders.

What is the most efficent way to allow access to the movies while locking out access to the folders?

How do I accomplish this?

Thank you for your time

You'll have to setup accounts for each type of shares, once you password protect any share, they're all password protected.
