Port Forwarding / Applications Rules... bug?
« on: August 25, 2010, 07:48:59 AM »

I'm currently running Rev D2 firmware with V4.13

I'm trying to access a web server in my LAN from the WAN side of the router.  I'm trying to redirect access from port 8080 on the WAN to port 80 for example.

Unfortunately the support help menu in the router looks out of sync with reality for "Port Forwarding".  The help menu mentions public and private ports that do not exist in that menu.

From the different configuration pages, it looks like the "Applications Rules" seems to be the page to do it.  However I can't seem to get any hint that the port is being remapped.  I've tried to set the trigger port to 80, and the firewall port to 8080, but nothing seems to be comming through.

Anyone have any clues?

Thanks,
SLam

You couldn't do that on that specific model number. You are supposed to use Virtual Server.
