DGL-4500 Switching Capacity or Switch Fabric
« on: January 24, 2012, 02:40:39 AM »

Does anyone know what the capacity of the dgl-4500 router is?

It has 4 1GB ports so was wondering if that means it has 8GB switching capacity?

I couldn't find anything on Google or this forum.

I am getting the terms from spec of my 8gb switch. (Switch Fabric: 16Gbps) (16Gbps Switching Capacity)

So theoretically the DGL-4500 should have at least 8GB capacity... ( not sure what it would add with the WAN)

Thanks for any help

The ports are speed connections and not actual thruput. All 5 ports on the back are 1Gb speed connection ports.
