Title: request for new feature in SecureSpot
Post by: new englander on August 14, 2009, 05:11:46 PM
I wish there was some way in SecureSpot to allow users to override without having to use the Admin password -- which is pointless because if you give a child the Admin password, they can turn off the filter altogether. Ideally, there would be an intermediate level password that in which kids would be first warned but then given the option to override but not the option to turn off the filter, and their decision/warning alert being sent to the parent. This feature would be especially valuable for parents who can't always be hovering around to input the override password, but whose kids need to access certain sites for school that are blocked but still necessary for the student to visit (e.g. a student researching arms embargoes).

If anyone knows of a way to do this in the existing version of SecureSpot, please let me know. Otherwise, I believe this would make a great new feature.
