Frame rate drops to almost nothing after about 10-15 minutes
« on: August 09, 2019, 03:10:23 PM »

I have 4 cameras 2ea DCS-932L rev B, 1ea DCS-932L rev A and 1ea DCS-5009L Rev A camera. All have the latest firmware.  I have a DNR-202L that I use to record on motion detection.  I recently changed ISPs and had to purchase my own router.  While the cameras function properly for 10 minutes or so, after that time the frame rate drops to between 0 and 1 FPS and I get multiple image gaps.  The overall performance of my 2.4 GHz channel goes to virtually zero for all other 2.4GHz devices.  I've tried TWO DIFFERENT ROUTERS and the problem is the same on both.  I've disconnected from the ISP modem and just run a private network with only the cameras and the DNR-202 on the network.  Same problem occurs after 10 minutes or so.  I've tried lowering frame rates for both cameras down to 5 FPS and even set the quality for all cameras to low.  The bandwidth being used by each camera is shown on the DNR-202's software and it's no where near the limits of a 2.4 GHz channel.  Many times is down below 500Mbps.  I've tried different wireless channels, all to no avail.  I have discovered after lots of swapping cameras that the problem seems to be tied to the DCS 932L Rev A and the DCS 5009L Rev A cameras.  If either of them is turned on, then the problem occurs after a period of time.  The 5009 seems to be the worst, but the 932LA still does it too.  So far the 932 LB cameras seem to be rock solid.  I'm out of ideas, I can't figure out what some cameras cause the problem while the other camera's don't. A this point, if I can't find a solution, the cameras are worthless to me. I could live with trashing the 932LA, but the 5009L is supposedly the "best" camera I've got. Any suggestions?
