Title: How long till a stable firmware?

Exactly! Yesterday I changed my firmware to the Alt-F, and what a difference! My DNS-323 just turned it self much more useful!

If your data is important to you, maintain a separate physical backup of your data: Data Backup vs. Redundancy (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=46510.0)

I'm always amused by questions like this - in a nutshell, if you value the data, you back it up and don't f@#$ with the system - if you don't back it up, you have no one to blame but yourself when you lose it, and if you f%^& with the system without backing it up, well you're just begging for trouble - aren't you?
