Can i start bittorrent remotely?
« on: January 22, 2010, 02:18:22 AM »

Is this possible?

Let say i'm out of the house and see a new torrent that i would like to download. Could i access my NAS thru the net and have it download that file?

If you have port forwarded properly, you could access the GUI remotely and configure anything you like.  That also assumes that your ISP doesn't block port 80, many do.  You can also use DynDNS to remap the HTTP port to get around that issue.
