2640u low wireless speed

Hi
I purchased a 2640u ADSL router. but I have a bad problem.
When I copy from my laptop(using wireless adapter) to pc(using LAN port) it copies very slowly. speed is about 1.8MBs
When I connect my laptop to LAN port I have 12MBs speed for copy to and from pc.
How can I test modem? I think it has a hardware problem.
