Rogue AP is killing my network
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:50:19 AM »

I have 2 DWL-3200 deployed as AP+WDS.
For a long time, we could not understand why the APs will suddenly deny connections to the clients.
Recently, we discovered a Rouge AP that broadcasts itself into the network.

dlink wireless manager sees it as an Access Point, but windows sees it as a peer to peer device.

The rogue hops channels, so changing channel does not help.
The rouge changes its mac address each time it comes up.
Only the SSID remains same as :"InterTouch GHM Lobby"

What can I use to locate this device or how do we block it to stop having access?

Thanks
