Title: Error 0.70_1_5_5_3EC
Post by: Cheesenacho on June 21, 2014, 02:19:04 PM
I just bought the DCS2330L and set it up. After setup, I did see video on my PC's screen. I disconnected the camera and moved it away from the router to the room adjacent. Since then, I cannot get video at all on the Mylink website, or on the iPhone app. I keep getting the error above.

Does anybody know how to resolve this? I've set the camera up 3 times now (never got video again), but no joy here.

Thanks,

CN

So when you say you set up the camera three times, you mean that it is plugged into your router with a cable, right?

Do you know the IP address of the camera?  If so, with the camera connected via network cable, try going here:

http://{camera IP address}/video1.mjpg

Do you get the video that way?

Negative. I did see the login screen popup...I used the login and password and just got the "wait" circle. I've tried IE11, which I've noticed in other posts may not work, as well as the latest Chrome.

I've also tried to configure the camera wired, and wireless....no joy. The weird part is that once the setup is complete, I can see video on the last screen. It's after the setup process is over, I can't access the camera video at all! None of the apps, or computers can pick up the feed!

Help!

OK...took the first camera back to BB and got another one. This one allowed me to login using your suggestion with the IP address. I'm getting video an audio on Chrome with this login, but nothing on my iPhone. Keeps saying video stream lost, with the same error code.

I'm wondering if there is something in these advanced tabs that it needs?

Does anybody know?

Thanks,

CN

I don't think HTTP streaming to iOS works.  I know that I can get an image back at the video URL, but it does not update (it's just static).

I wouldn't worry too much about the iOS part yet.  Is this new one working better otherwise, or are you still having your original problem?

I found the problem. It seems there is some issue with passwords for the camera and the system. I found two comments (and only two comments) when I searched for this error and found a note from DLink  Taiwan through a Facebook post that indicated you needed to reset your password, signout of the camera and the app, then sign back in with a new password on all devices.

Problem solved. Works on iPhone, iPad, and now my desktop PC as well.
This was a pain to figure out since there was almost no information on the error that I could find.

Camera is working now, and I'll have to exercise some of the other functions (recording, etc.)...

I appreciate your help.

How to Fix 0.70 problem. If you FING (iPhone) the camera, you will find that port 443 is NOT open. It iS open on the working cameras. So, go to camera via it web page (you need to know its IP address to do this)*, Login, go to Network and turn ON UPnP. Go to the bottom of the web page, select Save - Whala!!!
* I used FING as well (iPhone) to find the address of the camera.  You can also log into your router and find the "assigned addresses" - for wireless items to determine the IP.
